300C SRT8 track results...

Packed up my 18 month old daughter and headed out to the track on saturday.
I wasn't going to run at first (Several buddies of mine were going to be racing and I was going to hang out with my daughter and check out a few fast cars)
When I pulled in though a silver SRT8 Grand Cherokee pulled in. He asked where tech was and I decided right then to go back and pay the extra for TNT haha.
Anyways the GC had a Hennessy 500 package (heads, cam, ported intake, CAI, flowmaster, 2800 stall etc)
Mine is bone stock down to a dirty paper filter
First run netted the best mph but the worst ET LOL.
ESP off (I only have two stage ESP, I can't turn it completely off) brake torqued it slightly and rolled into the gas. Blew the tires away, lifted and spun again.
14.0 @ 107.5 mph with a 2.48 sixty LOL!
(GC ran a 13.5 @ 100mph)
Turned around and we went straight back into the staging lanes. This time I left ESP on and rolled into it very gently. I also accidentally left the AC on blast LOL!
13.7 @ 104 mph with a 2.35 sixty (heatsoaked at this point)
(GC ran 13.3 @ 104 )
Turned around and went right back in the staging lanes. Left ESP off this time and rolled gently into the gas again. This netted the best ET but I was heatsoaked terribly at this point. (Literally 8 minutes between all three passes and coolant was in the high 230s LOL)
13.6 @ 104.7 mph with a 2.32 sixty
(GC ran 13.3 @ 104)
After that race I decided to let the car cool a bit and retrieve my daughter from my buddy babysitting her so he could make a pass LOL
After about 30 minutes I went one more time. Spun badly again and ran 13.7 @ 105mph this time with a 2.4 sixty. Coolant in the 230s again...
(GC ran 13.2 @ 105 on this run with a 1.8 sixty)
I was pretty pleased with how the car ran considering the traction issues/poor sixty foots. I had a full tank of gas in the car, baby seat, toys, backpack, stroller, food jammed in there too hehe.
It was a fun day! For a big heavy 5200 pound brick that GC SRT8 can sixty like a MF'er!
I might hit a better prepped track in a few weeks. The car has the mph for 13.0s I just need the hook
I realized after I left the track that I still had the tires up at 40psi from the highway trip across the country. I'm going to head out again soon with 26psi in the rears, clean air filter, 1/3rd tank of gas and remove the pile of baby gear in the car.
cheers,
Chris

Great Times. I imagine if you had let the car cool down some more and been able to hook you would have seen those low 13's.
On another note. If that's all Hennessey has to offer out of their 500 package the I am thoroughly disappointed. I have seen GC's go low low 13's stock and dip easily into the 12's with a couple free mods. If I was going to pay 10 grand for heads cam and all it had better be low 12's...

I think the GC owner was a little disaspointed but TMP isn't the fastest track in the world and while the weather was good it wasn't terrific.
I am going to head to a real hooking track in a few weeks. (Grand Bend) Clean air filter, lower tire pressure (26 cold), less gas in the tank and a little burnout should get me bottom 13s at that track if all goes well

You should be good for low 13s. like DAT's time i ran a 13.14 @111mph with just a CAI. Couldn't hook either.
I'm going to the track tomorrow and we'll see what i can do with a cool engine (tstat and fan mod) hiflows, catback!
