Default 1941 Chev.Pickup

Hello from New Mexico, I am new to the forum. I have been planning on installing a LS1 in my new truck that I am building, but I have been noticeing that 5.7 low milage Hemi's are going for less that LS1's and I would love to have another Hemi. The decession will be made on a few things.
1. If I can find a wiring harness that won't break the bank. The one's I have found cost around $800.00. I have found LS1 harnesses for $200.00.
2. If I can find a StreetRod style floor shifter that will work with the 5 speed auto . Checked the B&M site and found nothing dito on Locar and Geni. Any ideas? Would a factory shifter be able to be modified with a tall stick or are the detents weak?

I would love to install a Hemi for the shock and cool factor.

Checkout Ebay Motors, Complete engines and type in Hemi. One 2004 5.7 with a 5 speed auto very low milage just sold for 2550.00 complete with all assy. computer and wiring. One sold early this week for 2850.00, the LS1's with a 4L60E are going for adverage 3200.00

Here one ebay# 170092520991 this one has no reserve and will maybe go for under 2000.
