Default Gen3 MK2 coils on a mk1 engine.

G'Day fellow Moparians.

I've been trying to figure out if the new type coil (feeding both sparkplugs on same cylinder) will work on mk1 engines(feeding one sparkplugs on one cylinder and a different sparkplug on a different cylinder via a HT lead). I really like to get rid of the HT wires all together. There are no Mopar parts in Aussie. So the alternative is fitting racing leads.
I'm thinking upgrade it all together.
I'm worried about ECU shananigans.
Thanks in advance, Jason
