just thought id say thanks. got the package last week and cant wait to tear into the tranny!

ive read all the rebuild threads i could find and im pretty confident i can do this on my own...i do have a couple ?'s tho;

-do i have to mess with endplay/pre-load, or is that only necessary when replacing bearings?

-do i need to replace some/all the snap rings? (its a low mileage, virgin trans)

-what silicone do i use during re-assembly? i have lots of rvt black??

cant think of any thing else right now but im sure il have more later. gunna order a clutch on fri and tear into it this weekend.

I use ultra black rtv to assemblem the units. As for shimming, most of the time you will not need to mess with it if not changing the bearings but as always, be sure to check it.
