So i bought this th400 from you, everything was good, good to deal with, quick shipment etc. Finally got the car together and the tranny in, excited to start racing again, go to the track.. Second gear doesn't work, tranny brake won't hold, reverse doesn't work, etc... Pulled it all out and had it checked by my tranny guy with me right next to him, everything is shot. sprag is shot, parts are in backwards, wtf man. I paid almost $2000 dollars for a 'supposed' Stage 5 built th400 able to support 2500HP or you told me? Instead you sell me your scrap, hope if feels good ripping somebody off. I am not a happy camper. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but i'm sure you've run to the hills with my money by now. I know, used parts are bought as is but i just want you to feel warm and fuzzy inside with my $2000 dollars in your hand while i am having to spend more and fix this 'built' tranny.

I haven't logged on to LS1tech.com since July of 08, it is now January 28th. I logged on for the first time since july last night. I just received the private messages from badroc and am trying to get a hold of him to resolve the situation. I sent him 2 pm's, called his cell phone last night and called him just a few minutes ago. I sold him a brand new never used transmission and have called the transmission shop today. I spoke with them and will hopefully be able to speak with badroc today as well. I am not a bad trader, I do not abandon purchasers either. I have always said the best way to get a hold of me is my cell phone, and I always provide it. I am always willing to help out with parts I used to own and this is no different. Now that I am aware of the situation I will work to figure it out.

I just talked to you on the phone. I tried getting in touch with you last summer when i got the transmission but had no luck. Its good that 6 months later you finally decided to check you messages and get ahold of me but saying I"M SORRY and laughing on the phone doesn't make me feel any better. It cost me $962.50 to fix and make it right, I paid you $1800 for the transmission and converter, that puts me $2762.50 in the hole for a transmission that was 'supposedly' brand new and ready for 2500hp right?..
If your "always willing to help out with parts I used to own and this is no different. Now that I am aware of the situation I will work to figure it out" I'd be glad to take some compensation for the junk transmission i recieved, if you want to pay for the cost to fix it or even split the cost? believe me my hand is open and i will be greatful. Like i said calling me and saying your sorry doesn't fix the situation, $ fixes the situation. Giving me the number to the shop will get me nowhere, anybody that is as involved in racing as i am knows that you dont call a shop and say hey the tranny u sold had junk, burned up, and backwards parts in it.. because all they are going to say is NO IT DIDNT NOT WHEN WE SOLD IT. So that will get me nowhere but even more aggervated than i am with you.
Like i said if this is weighing on your conscience that bad than at least split the cost of repair otherwise don't call me to just say your sorry and make yourself feel better, or are you just trying to clear your bad trader rating so you can now sell your car and not have people question you??
Reguardless thanks for the reply 6months later but it does me no good. Buyer beware, buying parts off of the internet from people you don't know can be expensive, learn from me, i learned the hard way $2700+ dollars later...

I understand why badroc is upset. I am sorry but the transmission was brand new, never used. I offered him the transmission shop's number, which, by the way is 4809643832. If you want them to pull up the specs, the transmission was bought under the name Randy Crabtree. I feel very bad; if I used the transmission and sold it as a brand new one, then I would, in some way, feel responsible for the damages. Being that I never once ever used, nor even test-fitted the transmission and know that 100% my friend that owned it before me never used the transmission; I am not responsible for any damages that were incurred on the brand new never used transmission. It is between badroc and the transmission shop. Doug's Transmission in Mesa, Arizona has an excellent reputation.
When I sold the transmission to you I included the name of the shop as well as the city. I do know that I sold it to you in February 08, and that you did not have problems with it until October 08 when you tried contacting me. 1.) Christian, if you never used it how do you know it was BRAND NEW? You didn't buy it from the shop, apparently your buddy did. When i talk to you on the phone you say my buddy this, my buddies dad that. Do you know what i hear? BLAH BLAH BLAH
2.) I asked you on the phone what good will giving me the transmissions shops number do? You said "NOTHING". So why do you keep giving it to me? This is between me and you, don't pass the buck to make yourself feel better. My car makes 450hp, I should be able to through whatever i want at this transmission, its a 'supposedly' built th400, ive seen guys with stock ones AND with more powerful BIG BLOCKS AND NITROUS making way more power and unable to break them. So come to find out it was already TOAST before i ever started up the engine, and thats as far as i got is starting the engine because the car wouldnt even go in reverse to drive off of the trailer!!
3.) I do not know you, nor your buddy, nor this transmission place. You talked to them today, you apparently know the guy who built it, I feel bad for you, if you did not ever use this tranmission like you say then you as well as i got bullshitted bigtime by either your buddy OR the transmission shop IF what you say is true and the bad part of the deal is that i'm $2700 DOLLARS SHORTER, your free and clear, good job.
4.) First you say your willing to help with parts you sold and make things right playing mr.good guy, now your passing the buck saying its between me and the tranny shop that is half way across the country. HEY MR.TRANNY SHOP I BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF SHIT TH400 FROM CHRISTIAN WHO BOUGHT IT FROM HIS BUDDY SO AND SO WHO BOUGHT IT FROM YOUR SHOP, NONE OF THEM USED IT BUT NOW I HAVE IT AND IT IS MIRACULOUSLY A PILE OF CRAP WITH BAD PARTS ARE YOU WILLING TO COMPENSATE ME AND MAKE THIS RIGHT?? Seriously Christian what do you think they will say to me??

Listen if your not willing to make this right or at least help financially alittle then just END IT, typing Bullshit in a trader notification and saying IT WASNT YOU isn't fixing this and your right there is no happy ending. How about $400 dollars? That is less than half of what it cost me to fix and less than 1/4 of what this has all cost me. 400 bux compared to 2700 really seems like pocket change huh?
