August 2007 seller agreed to build LS2 motor he had by end of September, I dropped off internals (forged rods, stud kit, cam, oil pan, windage tray, oil pump, timing set, etc). Seller avoided contact when I tried to pickup completed motor. At end of October I found seller could not build the motor.
December 2007 I hired a different builder who needed the parts. Attempted to pickup parts multiple times over a few months, waited at the office until 9pm on one delivery 'attempt', driver never showed. No one answered their cell phones.
February 2008 Robert said all parts were in a box ready for pickup. Paid someone to pickup parts, only oil pan, cam, and timing set came back.
March 2008 Seller said the parts were lost at machine shop. Most likely the seller used the parts for another build, or sold them. I then had to buy replacement rods, oil pump, windage tray, and lost the main ARP studs.
April 2008 Seller stopped responding to contact. I threatened to bring seller to small claims, and seller and I came to a settlement for half value of the parts, and promised to send payment.
June 2008 Six reminders were sent to seller asking where settlement payment went. Seller has not responded to any reminder, and no payment has been received. Work address was included in each email. Planning to cancel settlement and resort to small claims court.
