On 2/2/08 I posted a thread in "Wanted" forums. I specifically asked for a programmer for a '98 T/A. (please check for yourself). Reddevil00 sent me a PM and said he had a Max Power from Hypertech that he would take $180 for shipped. I responded by asking him if that was his bottom dollar. He responded by saying, yeah that's $200 off the price shipped, so that's his best price. I responded by asking what the part number was because I have been told that the '98 computer was different and would not work with '99 and up programmers. He responded with Hypertech part number #32002. I looked this up and found that this was for the Hypertech Max Energy Power Programmer, which according to Hypertech will in fact work with my 1998 Trans Am/Firebird. More than a fair price for this item. So we made payment arrangements, I pay with a money order and he sends a tracking number as I requested. I get the programmer yesterday, open it up, and find a Hypertech Power Programmer III, part number #30025 in the original box and right on the back of the programmer is the sticker with the part number and what vehicles it is for printed clearly...1999-2004 Corvette and 1999-2002 Camaro/Firebird. Seems to me he intentionally sent this programmer just to get rid of it, knowing damn well it is not what we agreed on. When I send a PM asking what gives, he returns one claiming that is what we agreed on and that he doesn't appeciate my attitude. I PM him again and ask him to look at his "sent" PMs and check the part number he gave me. So far, no response from him.
