Bought it Mar/Apr for $525, it was supposedly "professionally repaired", leak and pressure tested. When I got it looked ok but it was painted so the damaged areas didn't look all that bad. I put in on the shelf as I compiled parts for my build, which took place in Nov. Once installed the car was driven for about a 1/2 hour to get a street tune on it, when he idle started to get erratic indicating a vacuum leak. I drove it 15 min to work then 15 min home. It then would hold 3-4k at idle for 10-15 sec before holding at 1500rpm. After having my tuner look at it he swore it was a vacuum leak. So I took (towed) it to the installer and as soon as he checked the back of the intake (the repaired section) it came completely off. I had to scramble to get a replacement , so I found an LS2 and made it work. I contacted ObsceneHP to inform of my issue. After 2-3 reasonable calm PMs with no response, I finally sent a more assertive PM threatening to POST it on the forum. He responded to that by saying he was taking his Time to see if anyone else had a problem with one of his repairs, of course they didn't. He then suggested that my installer may have dropped it or done something during the installation to cause the damage. I assured him that my tech works at a respected LSX shop and has done hundreds of installs so that's not the case. He also said the amount of time that had passed released him from any responsibility. I offered to sent it back to him for him to see for himself, but he asked me to send pics instead and "we'll go from there". I sent the pics and after a couple weeks I checked back with him but he said he hadn't looked at them but he would and get back to me soon, which he never did. Several more reasonable PMs went unanswered. I then tried to sell as is DAMAGED at less than half what I paid to anyone who felt they could fix it, with no luck. I then sent it to SpinMonster from corvette forum for a second opinion, as he is well known for his port and repair work on FASTs. He found that the wrong type of materials were used, that wold not stand up to heat and VHC's and it also made a mess that he said he couldn't clean thoroughly enough to effectively start a new repair. I PM'd ObsceneHP with that info as well with no response. I got it back and took it apart to see if with more patience maybe I could clean it to fix it, but hell no, it really is sloppy plus a bunch of little pieces are held together with some sort of RTV. Maybe his other repairs worked cuz they weren't this bad, but he should have never ever tried o fix and sell this POS. I realize I bought a "used/repaired" part, but I should be able to expect more than 1 hour before a complete failure. He didn't even offer to take it back to try and fix it again. Just ignored me. Loooooosssseeeer
